In Search of Water

The Khejri, an ever green tree, is revered and worshipped in the Thar desert. The khejri grows only 6 cm. high but sends its roots 30 m. deep down to find water! And crops in the hot desert area find the light shadow cast by the khejri soothing and favourable to their growth.
